Should I Believe Maricar Reyes? - Contractubex

Contractubex

I am in an exposé mood to try Contractubex now that I have lots of free time after I took all the exams needed to end the last semester.  Summer is already here and how am I supposed to strut around in micro-mini shiz when Im having a skin crisis?

You know, when you have so many things running in your mind, you forget some not so important stuff.  I forgot to cut my nails!  Mosquitoes are everywhere too and because I have no patience, the inevitable happened.

My scabs :(

The directions said to apply 3-4 times a day on the affected area massaging it on the skin until the gel gets absorbed.

  • The formula is a gel-like consistency so its not sticky or slimy.
  • It smells like roses!
  • It leaves a minty and tingly feeling after applying it.
  • It's effin expensive! P490+ for a 10g tube!
  • I dont buy the pitch on keloid scars.
  • Its laborious! 3x a day?!

Stay tuned to this blog post as I will update this to conclude Maricar Reyes' credibility.  (ehhe just kidding!)

Meet Me on a Monday 01

Monday is always a party pooper and for some weird reason I find Im just too lazy and stubborn to do anything on a Monday!  Glad to have found this blogging routine from friend Monettski fit to counteract the blues brought forth by this day.  So here goes!

1.  Crunchy or soft tacos?

- Depends on the level of hunger Im suffering.  The hungrier the easier it should go down on my throat.  Think less than 7 seconds!

2.  Do you scrapbook?

- Only when Im academically compelled to do so.  Only the threat of having to repeat a silly subject can make me do this.  Not that I dont like the craft but Ive long accepted the fact that I have no artistic-crafty gene in me.  It's sad I know!

3.  Do you take any daily medications?

- Not anymore.  I used to take meds for 1 whole year.  I hate medications!

4.  What is your favorite sound?

- Silence!  Strong breeze second and the sound of my evil laugh lol!

5.  Where were you born?

- Born and raised in the island of Cebu, where fine things arent that much of a biggie. ;)

Every Sunday Never Growing Old will post five get to know you  questions that you can copy and paste into your own Monday post and we  can all learn a little more about each and every one of us!!

I love that Y101 FM is taking the step to showcase the unreserved and unpretentious Cebuano fashion sense.    This should serve as an official holler to my fellow fabulously noble dwellers of the Queen City of the South!

Goodbye Grade School!

Not so long ago our youngest was just this tiny thing looking up at us with so many questions to ask.

Now the questions become less and less as she seeks out the answers herself.

But we'll never tire of answering each one of them.
May you never be afraid to ask; may you never be bold enough to find out on your own.

How does ChurpChurp work?
ChurpChurp is your ultimate integrated social media solution that rewards you as ‘Influencer’ for sharing. There will be campaigns notifications provided to you from time to time.
Basically there are two main types of Churps available which are :
  • A. SOCIAL SHARING

There will be campaign briefs in your account for you to participate from time to time. Pick campaigns you’d like to share to your friends and followers and get rewarded from your clicks.
  • B. SCHEDULED (USER-GENERATED) TWEETS

If you are selected for a campaign, you will be notified via e-mail of new assignments and given a brief to compose your posts in any way you want with a few required keywords. Your tweets will go out on a schedule and after it does, earnings will be credited into your account.
  • C. SOCIAL SEEDING

If you are selected for a campaign, you will be notified via e-mail of new assignments and given a brief to compose your posts in selected platforms. The brief will describe the angles you should work on.

So, you’re rewarding me to share?
Yeap! Authorize the Facebook and Twitter settings in your account and you are eligible to receive various social media campaigns from us! That easy!

How much do I get rewarded?
Earnings credited to your ChurpChurp account vary depending on campaigns. For Social Sharing campaigns, earnings may vary from types of campaigns and earnings are based on the total clicks. Scheduled Tweets and some Seeding Campaigns credit you based on number of followers and friends you have.

When do I get my earnings?
You can track your earnings via your ChurpChurp account page shortly after accepting and posting Churps. A minimum earning of RM100 / SGD100 / PhP2,000 is required before you can cash out your earnings with ChurpChurp. We will process payments 30 days after the end of the month when you cashed out.

Vixen's Reads: My French Whore by Gene Wilder

Wookies! So you've read my book list.  Here goes my first book reflection.  ^^

    Amazon
An American Private soldier purporting to be a well known and respected German spy falls in love with a French whore.
    • Love story
    • World War II setting
    • A handful of characters
    • Very light reading
    • Young adult readability

    Points I have pondered on:

    What is cowardice?
I have barely lived my life yet to know exactly what it is to be a coward.  Sometimes I think it is the greed for power and prestige that seem very cowardly.  But thinking it over, that's just being spineless.  In the story, at first Private Peachy would appear to be someone we would call a coward.  Running away from an ensuing exchange of fires does warrant that. How about having to lie through your teeth and pretend to be someone you are not just to save your life, is that bravery?  It seems there is a fine line between cowardice and bravery.  I wonder who gets to judge the distinction.  That is hard!

    Love in the oddest places.
In a time of crisis and devastation, only the purest form of love flourish.  It is when you are surrounded by deception that you trust your gut-feeling when you find yourself in the dark groping for sincerity behind all the lies.  Love is all that remains true.  We should hold on to it and cherish it.  Although finding out the truth makes everything else a lie, love would be the only exception.  No amount of lies can mask the love that came from those same lies.  Tough times give love the deepest of roots.

    Friends vs Alliances
How do you honor friendship while staying true to your duty as an enemy?  It is a tough choice.  Many of us go through this everyday.  It's a choice we make while doing our jobs yet helping a friend would mean betraying a sworn oath.  In friendship there is no paper documents detailing your terms as friends, neither is there an oath to speak of.  Yet it is demandable, challenged and invoked as if its the most stringent of contracts.

When life give you lemons, you make lemonades to drink in celebrating friendships and love.  What is cowardly, is to sell the lemons as it is.

    Caveat: Shoe Envy

“Terrorism, hurricanes, and acts of God can’t part a true Imelda from her shoes,”

    - Jane Blahnik

Every woman has a button somewhere up her brain that gets turned on by the sight of the perfect pair of shoes.  Any man would be silly to just think that that's just one pair.  What we don't tell you is that the perfect pairs of shoes can occupy half of the living room space if we don't exercise self restraint.  A woman doesnt have to be an Imelda Marcos or Eva Peron fan to be a shoe whore.  Shoes make me happy!  It is almost second to sweets.  Spending an extra hour on the ladies shoe department when you only intend to buy socks is fairly typical dont you think?

    from pensandlens
Recently Sweet has been arousing my shoe desires by posting her new Jeffrey Campbell shoes.  Not one but two pairs and definitely not from her own money!  Yup!  The man gifted them to her as a 10 year anniversary present.  Whoah!  FYI:  This post is colored green for a reason.  That bitch friend of mine is being spoiled showered with love and affection.  How loving!

Girlfriends, route your men to Bluefly or Shopbop to give him hints on what you really want.

Boyfriends, a fair warning: It all starts with just shoes, then later on evening dresses and designer handbags.

As for me, well I'm just waiting for the perfect prey I can rob blind to get this beauty.

    A Vixen's Reads: My Booklist

If anyone would pay attention to my book collection, it would be easy to conclude that I dig World War II genres.  I find that era fascinating, heart wrenching and exciting all at the same time.  My term paper back in high school, if I remember it right, was about the cruelties of that war.  Although I get horrified in reading holocaust tales, my interest and curiosity progresses exponentially.  I even got my self a hard copy of Hitler's Mein Kampf just to pick his brain.

Not to make this post longer than it would be, I present my minuscule but fairly filling collection written in my ghastly handwriting!

"Feet, what do I need you for when I have wings to fly?" -Frida Kahlo

Whew! What a feat! I think I deserve a pat on the back for teaching myself how to go about domain registration.    Im talking about almost 8 hours of figuring out how this alien thing works!  It also helps when you have IT friends (ehem! J-A-N-E) whom you can pester 24/7.  But for someone who had just encountered cryptic terms like DNS and CNAME eklavoos, I have all the reason and right to be ecstatic.  I dare anyone to burst my bubble!

    Bleh!
I registered my domain with 1and1 simply because I can afford it and I have a handful of friends who work for this company too.  They do need a verified Paypal account or a credit card as a payment method so thank God I'm friends with the most trusting and thoughtful girl I know!  Sweet I owe you heaps for the big big help!

So what happens next?  I have big plans for MY site of course!  Plans I commit myself to actualize.  Here's a tentative To-Do list:

    1. Blog roll - I've been an avid follower of various blog and news sites that are just so fun yet informative to read.  I'd love to share with you what feeds my brain these days!  Im going to organize it well just you wait and see.  ^^
    2. Book list - Some of you may know that I love shopping for thrift books more than I love digging into a pile of used clothes ( going ukay-ukay).  The list will include a reflection of what I read about.  Note: reflection and not a review because Im no literary critique.
    3. More beauty reviews - I will let you in on my recent hauls that fuel my "slight" narcissism.  Im keeping this real as in student budget real.
    4. Fashion pitches - Expect wearable styles.  Not too shabby not high street fashion either.  Think: Character and Attitude.
    5. Lookbook - I love Lookbook because it feeds my covetousness!  A girl has got to have an envious bone somewhere inside her to arouse motivation and inspiration.  I know it gets my ass working!
    6. Guest bloggers - I will commission a few people to write here for variety.  I too get sick of myself sometimes so this move hopefully would make you realize Im worth missing. ;)  My brother has shown interest in filling in this role.  Imagine my worry.

This blog has always been my tool for self affirmation.  As I re-read my previous posts I relish in the thought that despite my flaws and failures this is the one thing Im sure to be good at.  When I write I fly, who needs feet?  It is in The ViXeN's LaiR that I have wings to fly!  Rising like a phoenix!
