I hope it would not shock you if I say I do not own even one glossy fashion magazine.  Some might find this as a crack in my credibility as a fashion blogger, however I dare say that I am a full-fledged fashion enthusiast at the least.  One does not have to conform with the standards established by a very commercialized sector of the fashion industry.  Nothing attracts me more than the fresh, rogue and revolutionary fashion culture that thrives on the streets, parading yet still quite unnoticed.  Thankfully, Blanc Magazine Online has pooled their resources to give us a showcasing of the untapped reservoir so full of immense talent and potential that are all along right here in Cebu City.

It's Monday again!  Here's another round of get to know me questions.  

1.  Who would be your dream celebrity date?

Pretty much self explanatory but just to oblige, I want to pick his brain.  I'm smitten by and curious for the ruggedly handsome lot.

2.  Do you have any food restrictions?

No food restriction.  However, judging from that recent shot, I ought to ban food altogether!

3.  How much time do you take to get ready in the morning?

Pardon the uneven foundation application.

Im not really a morning person eversince I did a call center stint.  But when I do go out for something of the ordinary like school or the mall, an hour usually is enough for me.  30 minute bath and another 30 minutes for vanity.  

4.  Sausage or bacon?

I prefer sausages.  Bacon is too oily.

5.  Do you Google, Bing or Yahoo?

GOOGLE saves lives!  I use it for everything.

This is my attempt at looking like a feisty terror teacher.  It's also my entry to Pens and Lens' Fashion Stylist photo contest where I am hoping to win a full Forever21 outfit ensemble courtesy of Sweet.

I've worn this several times in school minus the awfully painful wedges and necklace.  I came up with this look because I wanted to depict Sweet's serious teacher side.  I was inspired by a recent photo of her raising a stick to scare a naughty school boy lol!

Miss Minchin of The Little Princess

A Filipino barrio fiesta would not be complete without the highlights "disco-ral" or disco in a fence and beauty pageants, may they be little Miss/Mr, Ms/Mr Local or the hilarious Macho Gay contests.  We love to celebrate any occasion, we even throw parties for the dead.  This is deeply rooted in our culture, we Filipinos are the best party goers in the face of the earth.

I got to judge 12 straight men on who was the best in being a Mr. or Miss Macho, though I really didnt know what that means.

They were all oiled up and made up to deliver the most wacky entertainment with their exaggerated movements and green jokes.  The whole town was roaring with laughter.  Then disco till the break of dawn.


FYI: Some of the gowns used here were actually used once in a real fashion show back in the late 80's where in Melanie Marquez was one of the models.  She might have worn one or two of these gowns.
