Best showcase of a pure ground game fight!  George, although this is mostly about Hardy,you're still the One for Me!!  

Hardy is very promising, I applaud him for enduring GSP all 5 rounds.  I love the smirk on Hardy's face when he faced GSP on the start of the fight.  I can really see his excitement, there was no ashen face of doom look.  The only thing I don't like about Hardy is the acid punk look.  But that's just me, I just loathe punk fashion that's all.  All else aside, Dan Hardy is really really cutie.. LOL

Remember I talked about having won a Nokia 5230 cellphone from the Trivia Questions of DJ Mo Twister?  I encountered a momentary problem when I found out I had to be able to claim the phone by walking in to the Magic 89.9 Radio Station in Mandaluyong.  I got stressed over this trying to find ways how to go about getting my prize without having to go to Manila.  Cutting the story short, I made a long distance phone call to the radio station and asked them alternative means of claiming my prize.  Good thing they allow proxies.  Thank the heavens for a long time friend who was accommodating enough to do the hassle procedures.   So right now I am happily tinkering with my new bongga phone.. ehhehe  Posted are my meet up photos with Mimi.

Here is the list of all those who passed the September 2009 Philippine Bar Exam.  This year a total of 1,451 from the 5,903 examinees had passed the most difficult examination there is, that is a passing rate of 24.58%.  The supposed to be 75% requirement to pass the bar exam was lowered to 71%.


A big congratulations to University of San Carlos College of Law who has definitely outdone itself and proved to us that indeed they are still the best law school outside of Metro Manila by having had 81.43% of their examinees pass last years exam.  Wow!  That's really amazing!


Ateneo De Manila University got six examinees into the top 10.  They are owning this one alright!  


I hear most of the passers from USC took their review classes in ADMU.  Just goes to show that Ateneo is the school to beat for this September 2010 round of a knockout bar exam.


Whew! In three years I would have to brace this feat ( I hope).  Dang! Im scared lol!

Frustration weakens me every time something I expect to occur naturally fails to get done.  Although I am a genius at disappointing myself, this time this post would not be about how I let myself down.  This time it's about the Stupidities apart from those attributable to me.  YES I AM POINTING FINGERS!

Disappointment No. 1: Supreme Court

The recently decided case of De Castro vs JBC has placed even a freshman law student into a state of bewilderment.   The entire Country is shocked at how the supposedly champion of the people had resolved the issue of whether or not the incumbent Philippine President can appoint the successor of Chief Justice Reynato Puno who is set to retire this coming May 17, 2010.  

The decision allowing PGMA to appoint the next Chief Justice despite the Constitutional ban on midnight appointments is so revolting as it is against everything that was taught to us in law school.  I may not be a very diligent student but I do know that they defied even the most basic rule of Statutory Construction: Ubi lex non distinguit nec nos distinguere debemos; Where the law does not distinguish, we should not distinguish.  

I am saddened at how our beloved country is being run.  Stop the Red Queen!!

Disappointment No. 2:  Mama's Boy

Is it just me or is the Mama's Boy Syndrome spreading like a deadly plague nowadays?  Well I just can't help notice the many men over the age of 21 still hanging around school with no intention of graduating soon or bumming around engaging in drinking sprees all at the expense of their parents.

Are the mothers at fault here for overly showering their sons with love and affection that lead boys to become over dependent and not able to fend for themselves?

I really don't have scientific proof but my own brother seems to be a living testimony that there is such a thing as a Mama's Boys Syndrome.  Heck!  I'm seeing two running for important public office.  Moms, sometimes tough love is good for your child.

I have yet to disappoint myself but don't fret I will definitely tell all.

I am usually so terrified of reptiles especially frogs, lizards and snakes. Whether they are big or small, I jump at the sight of them, almost akin to an irrational phobia.  I feel my skin crawl and as if I have just consumed a liter of lard every time these icky beings get near me.  This is some sort of general rule.

However, tonight I had just met the exception to the general rule of indifference towards these wrinkly cold blooded creatures.  Just this night, I met and for the first time conquered my fear and handled a very frail juvenile Philippine Sail-fin Lizard also known as Ibid in Cebuano colloquies.

I dont know yet if its a she or a he, nonetheless I'm naming it Cattleya, after the person who gave it to me.  The giver, Cattleya is our household help, a very funny girl who is the same age as I am.  She brought the lizard from our hometown because she thought the family might like it since we love pets.  She didnt know that my mom and I have a thing for reptiles.  

Anyway we decided to take care of the new baby and as of press time, I am researching online how to take care of Cattleya.  Im committing myself to nurture it upto 3feet long.  Hopefully this cures my quasi-phobia.  lol

Semester is officially over for me as I took the last final exam in Criminal Law just this morning.  I now do not care if my answers were more or less than satisfactory because I am more interested in the summer events waiting for me!  I miss laying around with nothing to do and no academic readings to worry about.  Now is the time for my books, my real books who heightens my rusty fiction-induced comas.. 

Summer I embrace thee! 

Just saw Alice in Bongga Wonderland and I can't help but compare her dreamt up wonderland to the reality of our crazy Philippine politics.  Good for Alice that her experience was all a product of her mind.  On the other hand we Filipinos have to endure our own Red Queen in real life.  The problem is that it seems our country does not yet have a champion to slay the Jabberwocky, baby Jabberwockies actually.

I know my blog posts have been scarce lately, I apologize for being a bore the past days.  Well I blame the month of March for causing much nuisance upon my blogging affairs.  Final examination month is here, I just had to work my ass off to catch up on my readings because I'm not in a really good academic position ;).  Yep!  Another round of effin stress.  But hey after all these halubaloo, I'll be off to an amazing summer.

Finally, I signed up for gym membership at Fitness First.  After a few years of denying it, I have come to detest my whoooping 165lbs 5'3" physique.  I'm not aiming to be thin rather I want to feel light again.  Light in carrying myself to do everyday things like traversing the plight of stairs in my school.

Do wish me luck on both very very hard endeavors!!

I've mentioned here that I want to improve my handwriting.  It's because your handwriting can be a window to your character.  Your strokes, arches, loops, harsh lines and how much pressure you put on your medium for writing all shout what kind of person you are.  


My handwriting for me gives so much information about who I am that I get conscious and yes, insecure.  So yeah, I am hoping as I improve my handwriting, I also curb my bad/unpleasant sides.


For this I bought a Parker fountain pen.  It's nothing fancy really, just a basic tool to make my hand lighter and my strokes more flowing than cramped.

I hope and pray that after a few good writing exercises I can legibly read my work when I try to read it after a day or so.  ^^

WHEW!  What an eventful 28 days!  It felt like the longest month of the year.  I was sooo busy with midterm exams during the first week, criminal law mock bar just this sunday.  I'm a bit dazed by the stress. 

Earthquakes and Tsunamis are just two of the MANY instances that we humans find ourselves helpless, so let us not be so arrogant by thinking we are alone and that we do not need anyone else.  Let us have faith in the greater scheme of things.
