Sunstar's Best of Cebu Red Velvet Cake. I am now a fan.

Good friend Sweet and I have decided to give ourselves a regular dose of sugar rush.  Our dessert runs all over Cebu will be a bi-monthly thing.  We need happy food for our crazy pressure cooker lives.  We will bring you delectable finds and rate them as honestly as we can.  But please do factor in the fact that we might be PMS-ing and give slightly emotional reviews.  Fair warning lang.

Well here is the famous Red Velvet Cake by Dessert Factory.  Im not a fan of red velvet cake but I chose it over my usual blueberry cheesecake staple because Dessert Factory has the best Red Velvet Cake according to Sunstar Cebu.

The romantic value of this notorious dessert does not apply to my desensitized heart - bitter - kebs! Anyhoo I got to dig into this half way through until I got overwhelmed by my saturated taste buds. Because when it comes to desserts you really get to a point where you cant eat anymore.

Jollibee Hash Brown Burger!!

I swear burgers are worse than cigarettes!  I am easily bribed with burgers this past few weeks.  Just yesterday, I got to drag my ass off to a mall just for a Flame It! burger.  Im talking about burgers hoping the craving will go away via write off!

A few hours ago, me and my law buds, stopped by Mcdonald's for a quick dinner.  Here's what happened..

Me: (to Mac) oii orderin natin yung bago na hash brown burger! sarap nun!
Mac: cge un na din orderin ko
I was looking up the menu looking for the hash brown burger wondering why there's no info about the product.   Moved on and brushed off the bewilderment and proceeded to voice out order.
Me: (to cashier/manager) Miss! 2 orders ng hash brown burger please! (smile)
Manager: what is your order ma'am?
Me:  hash brown burger nga!  ba't wala sa menu ninyo? ahh bagong product kasi noh?
Manager:  we don't have that in this Mcdonald's ma'am! ( no smile )
Me:  ahh sa ibang branch lang pala..... hala baka sa Jollibee yun!
Mac:  hahahhaha ano kaba manager yata yung kausap mo, sa Jollibee cguro yun!
Me:  eh pag hash browns Mcdonald's yung alam ko eh!
Me: (to manager) hala cge McFlurry na lang order ko!
Manager:  *punch *punch that would be 44 pesos mam.
Mac and I: LOL

Note:  I have long associated hash browns with Mcdonald's since they did offer it in their menu some years ago.  Kudos to Jollibee for the successful disassociation!

Not supposed to be blogging and get distracted (prelim exams!) but I can't help it!  Kicking my Monday blues habit!  I know a lot has happened over the weekend and the past month (omg! a month of no updates!) but I assure you they will have space in my blog soon.  ;)  

My personal blog is now online at http://isabeaujanegomez.damnvixen.com; it's on a google site platform.  Im contemplating on transferring  it to wordpress.  What do you think?  Having lots on my mind now, not to include the school work and crammings I have been doing and still have to do!  

Its hard not to feel ugly and stressed considering the circumstances Im in right now.  Whew!  Nonetheless the Almighty has been very kind to me and my family all through out, we are very much grateful!

Well here goes getting to know me questions!

1.  What is your favorite food?

This is a hard one! LOL  I would say that Im addicted to rice.  I dread the day that I will have to cut rice from my diet.  Thinking about it depresses me already!

2.  What color scheme is your bedroom?

Lavender/Lilac!  My mother made it this way.  I do not object to these kind of decisions in the household.  Mom wanted a serene and relaxing atmosphere in our bedrooms.  She was right, I sleep at least 10 hours a day!

3.  Do you carry a donor card?

No.  I applaud those who do!  Im not yet ready to decide on these things, too morbid for me.

4.  In your opinion, is the glass half empty or half full?

Im a very positive and optimistic person.  Bad things happen;  I have learned how to deflect negative energy.  Takes a lot of pep talk to yourself.  Writing helps too!  

5.  Vanilla or Chocolate?

No contest here.  I was born with a chocolate addiction!  I love chocolate on my rice!  Champurradoooo!

Day 04: A Habit That You Wish You Didn't Have

Over Indulgence!!

What can I say?  I'm a passionate girl! ^^
I wasnt always this errr curvy.  I remember being thin and frail that my dad force feed me and my brother to make as look plump.  In the '90s, a plump kid meant healthy.  Well they got more than they bargained for!  I got so used to double servings you now see the result in that picture.  Oh well!  Im a glutton for food among ahem! other things! ^^
