Day 12 - How you found out about Blogger and why you made one

Multiply used to have a cross-post option to many other blog hosting sites and Blogspot a.k.a. Blogger was one of them.  Just for the heck of it, I signed up for a Blogspot account.  Soon multiply became a flea market and when you have a booming avenue for online entrepreneurship, spammers, spam and spamming, all together became too much of a nuisance.  Since 2010 I have been with Blogspot and I have my own domain too!

My favorite posts that came from my multiply account were all very personal if not an attempts at trying to be journalistic at best.  Try and browse through them, I've posted the link below.

Day 10- Songs you listen to when you are Happy, Sad, Bored, Hyped, Mad

Happy

Sad

Bored

Hyped

Mad

Music seeps deep into the soul, you should never go with out it.  Keep the rhythms, beats and melodies embedded within you that every time you close your eyes, the sounds become deafening.  The hammering of your heart  isn't the only thing that keeps you alive, it's your humming soul too!

Day 09 - Something you're proud of in the past few days

Oakely Holbrook in Matte Rootbeer
Meet Bronx, the wild card winner of my heart, which had always been a Ray-Ban wayfarer cult follower.  I beam with pride because I rightfully earned it.  Let's just say I've been a very good daughter academically this past semester; a fitting bribe from any loving father, don't you think?

Ray-Ban 2132 in Red Rubin
My spirits were low after I scoured two major malls for that Ray-Ban new wayfarer in red rubin I was lusting after.  You all pretty know how much I get into a trance when it comes to red things.  Sad to say I didn't get to have what I really wanted because it was incompetently out of stock!  How difficult is it to press the reorder button from your suppliers? gah!  My sight fell upon this beauty in the glass case and I immediately settled for it.  Not that it was second best, coz personally I think Oakleys are a notch better than Ray-Bans, but design wise, new wayfarers has got to be the sleekest in eye wear architecture in the market.

sorry for the crappy phone pic, point and shoot cam is still busted :(
Polarized sunglasses like Oakley's Holbrook are perfect for minimizing the summer glare.  I enjoy the vintage tint on my vision.  It feels like I have stepped into a magical realm full of rainbows!
polarized vision
not mine but thanks flickr!
P.S.  Although this post may seem like a sunglasses advertising pitch, let me clarify that its not the sunglasses Im proud of, its me doing good in school after a stint of being "not so good".  Yeah, this is a disclaimer! ^^

Day 08 - Short Term Goals for This Month and Why

Things to accomplish in a short period of time:

  • Malabuyoc fiesta
  • Law School enrollment for 1st semester 2011 ( gah! no schedules yet grrr!)
  • Get a facial
  • Ready study outlines for back subjects
  • My brother's birthday
  • My sister's birthday
  • Start saving for my birthday (I intend to go on a secluded island trip w/ my friends)
  • Shop for school supplies
  • Seriously learn how to pick a lock (this is an important skill mind you!)
  • Buy a new tube of mascara (waterproof please!)
  • Finish reading Gone With The Wind (interesting book, but very long and wordy!)
  • Finalize the dilemma on whether or not to change blog template to magazine style
  • Get back to reading Mein Kampf (Hitler intrigues me)
  • Go Booksale shopping (love cheap books!)
  • Blog! Blog! Blog
As you can see my list of  things to do are quite trivial, however they're not even half of what I need to finish asap.  Let's not get started with a long term goals list PLEASE!!

Day 07 - A Picture of Someone/Something That Has The Biggest Impact on You

 The Illusive Adonis

I am a full fledged member of the female species and I wouldn't want it otherwise.  I dont want to waste your time by letting you read hypocrisy if I write about how my parents or mentors or movie stars have had an impact on me.  Those stuff are given and I dont need to be cheezy about it.  Let's all agree that the pull to procreate aka finding a mate is so wired within all of us that whether we are aware or not our actions reflect that need.

Adonis is supposed to be the epitome of the kind of man women swoon over.  He represents a standard for what it is to be male.  A personification of something abstract that even after the past millennia no one could really concretely define.  What the fuck do women want?! It's an age old question people will try to answer but will never really hit bull's eye.

Who for me is Adonis?  Just like the Greek myth, Adonis is every guy out there who for a short moment lives up to your expectations and then just when the season changes he withers and dies to every girl's dismay.  His sweetness has an expiration date!

For the record, I am not heart broken.  A tad bitter maybe, but I am not being spiteful!  I am this way when a realization dawns upon me.  So girls, cherish your man's Adonis stage coz that is rare and seasonal.  Lucky you if you can sustain that for a looong time.  That  is hard work I tell you! Fucking Goodluck!

Day 05 - A Picture of Somewhere You've Been To

There's something about Bohol that is almost magical.  I had been there only twice and I have to say the island captured a part of my soul.  It's scenic beauty really healed me deep down and I was never the same again when I got back to Cebu City.  I will never tire of this enthralling place!

Day 04: A Habit That You Wish You Didn't Have

Over Indulgence!!
Taken last year during my 24th.
What can I say?  I'm a passionate girl! ^^
I wasnt always this errr curvy.  I remember being thin and frail that my dad force feed me and my brother to make as look plump.  In the '90s, a plump kid meant healthy.  Well they got more than they bargained for!  I got so used to double servings you now see the result in that picture.  Oh well!  Im a glutton for food among ahem! other things! ^^

Day 03: A Picture of Me and My Friends

In each of my friends, I find qualities that mirror mine.  If I were reborn and be so wise I could choose the right people to befriend, I'd choose these girls 100 times over!  All of them are my BFFs!

Love you bitches!

XoXo

Day 2: The Meaning Behind Your Blogger Name

DaMnViXeN
I love the mysteries behind a nom de plume.  It tickles me curious.  What can I say?  I'm a gossip-monger!  However my pseudonym isn't really that mysterious and its not even a secret.

Vixen was a word I often come across when I used to extensively read historical romance novels.  *Gasp! Yes I read the likes of Johanna Lindsey, LaVyrle Spencer, Jude Deveraux, Nora Roberts ahh its a long list!  I blame those books for feeding my delusional notion of romantic love! Pardon my rant ehheeh!

Compared to the word bitch I think vixen has a lot more class to it don't you think?

Now for the prefix Damn, its because if you believe me too much, I can be the cause of your damnation! hahaha

Looking forward to do Day 03!

Day 01 - A recent picture of me and 15 interesting facts about me

In a few moons, I will be turning 25.  I feel like by the time the clock strikes 12 midnight on November 30, I will be compelled to say goodbye to adolescence.  I have sustained my teenage lifestyle far beyond the acceptable threshold, therefore its about time I turn the page.  I owe it to myself to grow up.  So I am taking this 30 day self revealing challenge just to put down in black and white what makes me, me! 3. I have a fascination for anything novel
  4. I can not resist books, chocolates and ice cream
