Date A Woman By Her Favorite Bag

There is more to a woman than her shoes - her bag!  Women are known to be cryptic which drives you men cray.  Therefore as bearer of  XX chromosomes, I extend my sympathy by giving you a short course on women's favorite bag designs and how it is reflective of some tell-tale signs and warnings regarding her unapparent quirks.  The objective here is to be able to asses if this certain lady with a certain type of bag would be a good match for a visual learner kind of guy like you.

Canvass and Knitted Bags

Soft and light materials mean that she is free spirited.  Quite the outdoorsy and adventurous chick; your typical young at heart beach bum.  You can drive her around with the car top down or windows open.  She really wouldn't mind the wind ruining her waterfall hairdo.  She can easily be one of the boys too; your friends will like her.  Her innocence will either annoy you or make you fall hard.  It all depends if you have a knight in shinning armor thing going on.

Sling Bags

A sling is a long cable thingy attached to the main bag, hence called sling bag.  The carrier will most likely take you for granted at the onset of the relationship because she will assume that you will always be there for her.  She might engage you in a forever swear ( look up The Fault in Our Stars).  You will get to tag along with her as she talks about the latest gossip and Hollywood fashion trends with her BFFs.  Someday one of her friends will try to steal you from her or just  try to hook up with you and THAT will be your ultimate test as a boyfriend.

Clutch Bags

Simply put, it is a rectangular bag that does not have handles or straps.  We hold it with just one hand which happens be adorned by our best statement rings.  If we talk to you holding a clutch with both hands, we are obviously trying to be cute.  So take note of that.  Confidence is a girl's main quality if she favors clutch bags.  It does take a lot of confidence to socialize with just one hand.  She is not fidgety nor does she have weird hand gestures when she talks.  Its safe to assume that she is classy and is usually elegantly composed.  You will become a good man by her side as she will constantly keep you in check.  Her grip on you will be admirable and you will thank her for straightening you out - if you are a mess like Robert Downey Jr once was back in the '90s.

Big Spacious Bags

Sinude
A carry all bag spells A-M-B-I-T-I-O-U-S.  Women who walk around with a bag that could fit at least a whole week's worth of paperwork is most likely a woman on top, or alpha female, or in your man language a succubus.  She can manage her life fairly well and can obviously live without you or your kind's affections.  The moment you show signs of unworthiness, like when you borrow a few bucks for a venti Starbucks, she will have you out of the door and will immediately write or erase you off of her bulky leather and filled out planner.  She will replace your penciled-in "couple thing" appointments by scribbling on the words "spa treatment" using the permanence of  a Parker ballroller pen.  You will be dispensable to her and you will, for all your life, feel inadequate.  So the advice: dont bite off more than you can chew is in order here.

Hard Structured Handbags

Lady Gaga's spiked Hermes Berkin
Man, you better be good at estimating trajectories and have a keen spider sense because the lady that owns this bag is red hot feisty.  The ingenuity of a structured bag is that its regal qualities mask its lethal features.  Do you know that those shiny embellishments on that bag are all metal and that it could bore a hole through your half empty skull given the right amount of force and speed?  Dude, wear a helmet, no amount of beefing up will prepare you for a bag whack.  Although you need not worry too much if you are a nice and sweet chap who remembers monthsaries and your mutually adopted dog's birthday.  Still keep Herb Dean (UFC referee) in mind and protect yourself at all times.

Congratulations!  You have been briefed.  Now go out and hunt for a girlfriend.  Pay attention to her bag first before you get screwed by her charms.

P.S. I wrote this out of whim and that I have no psychology related scientific references to back this up whatsoever.

Points I have pondered on:

What is cowardice?
I have barely lived my life yet to know exactly what it is to be a coward.  Sometimes I think it is the greed for power and prestige that seem very cowardly.  But thinking it over, that's just being spineless.  In the story, at first Private Peachy would appear to be someone we would call a coward.  Running away from an ensuing exchange of fires does warrant that. How about having to lie through your teeth and pretend to be someone you are not just to save your life, is that bravery?  It seems there is a fine line between cowardice and bravery.  I wonder who gets to judge the distinction.  That is hard!

Love in the oddest places.
In a time of crisis and devastation, only the purest form of love flourish.  It is when you are surrounded by deception that you trust your gut-feeling when you find yourself in the dark groping for sincerity behind all the lies.  Love is all that remains true.  We should hold on to it and cherish it.  Although finding out the truth makes everything else a lie, love would be the only exception.  No amount of lies can mask the love that came from those same lies.  Tough times give love the deepest of roots.

Friends vs Alliances
How do you honor friendship while staying true to your duty as an enemy?  It is a tough choice.  Many of us go through this everyday.  It's a choice we make while doing our jobs yet helping a friend would mean betraying a sworn oath.  In friendship there is no paper documents detailing your terms as friends, neither is there an oath to speak of.  Yet it is demandable, challenged and invoked as if its the most stringent of contracts.

When life give you lemons, you make lemonades to drink in celebrating friendships and love.  What is cowardly, is to sell the lemons as it is.

Day 07 - A Picture of Someone/Something That Has The Biggest Impact on You

 The Illusive Adonis

I am a full fledged member of the female species and I wouldn't want it otherwise.  I dont want to waste your time by letting you read hypocrisy if I write about how my parents or mentors or movie stars have had an impact on me.  Those stuff are given and I dont need to be cheezy about it.  Let's all agree that the pull to procreate aka finding a mate is so wired within all of us that whether we are aware or not our actions reflect that need.

Adonis is supposed to be the epitome of the kind of man women swoon over.  He represents a standard for what it is to be male.  A personification of something abstract that even after the past millennia no one could really concretely define.  What the fuck do women want?! It's an age old question people will try to answer but will never really hit bull's eye.

Who for me is Adonis?  Just like the Greek myth, Adonis is every guy out there who for a short moment lives up to your expectations and then just when the season changes he withers and dies to every girl's dismay.  His sweetness has an expiration date!

For the record, I am not heart broken.  A tad bitter maybe, but I am not being spiteful!  I am this way when a realization dawns upon me.  So girls, cherish your man's Adonis stage coz that is rare and seasonal.  Lucky you if you can sustain that for a looong time.  That  is hard work I tell you! Fucking Goodluck!

SPOLIARIUM

Spolarium by Juan Luna

I am in outrage!  How many more tragedies do we have to suffer and take part of to realize that we have fucked up as a country?  How many dead bodies do we need to count in order for us to take charge of our nation?  How many more of these ridicules could we stomach?

The Filipinos I know are the kind who will fight to the death just to protect their own.  But just like a wild horse, we have been broken, our wild hearts had been tamed to conform to too many a conquerors whims.  We lost our identity a long long time ago, sad to say until now we have never regained it back.  For centuries we were taught to be envious and insecure, perfectly brainwashed to believe that we were only second best.

The Spaniards, Americans and Japanese all treated us like dogs.  And so "independence" we gained.  We are no longer under foreign rule, but why do I still feel the leash on my neck?  It is because we are repeating the cycle of hate, this time the infliction is upon our own blood.  Having been treated inferior for a long time caused us to recoup by wanting to be the master and superior this time and since we are still weak to take on others, we resulted to taking the nearest Filipino down.

This is how it is with us now.  I see it, I live it and it sucks to know we are really going to be it.  By "it" I meant a whole country dedicated to destroying itself my gnawing at its own wound, never allowing it to heal.  We are infected by disease and its time to seek for the cure.  Let us all heal from the oppressions we had to suffer, please let us truly rebuild our nation.

p.s Winning the Miss Universe crown is not going to be redeeming in any way..

My Dead Heart

Im supposed to be on a self-help emotional therapy, so I shouldnt be watching romance movies or listen to love songs or read overly perfect novels. Its bad when sadness engulfs me, its much worse when I sense a spark of hope.

I keep forcing down upon myself that the world is not about nonsense love swoons and cupid struck madness. Bitter am I not? Maybe so, I cant blame me or anyone else about it, I AM BITTER.

My dead heart is not so dead after all, its on constant beating, yeah i can live with that. When would it flutter and jump again? Soon? Later? Never? Who knows? But I trust in a GREAT SCHEME OF THINGS, come what may as they all say.. For now, Ive got to move along, get a grip and pretend to be stoned again till the day comes. So I guess I should be holding on to that sparkle eh?

Hopeless Romantic.. WTF hhahahha
